1. A Sunday morning dance? A shooting at a Sunday morning dance?
Hope everyone's OK.

I didn't see this post and I posted another one in GD.

I was very shocked by this because I lived not very far from Duquesne for 40+ years, and they just never had that kind of problem before. As far as I know, there was never even a concern about such violence!

3. Duquesne Is In a Bad Neighborhood
Duquesne is an island in the middle of a crime-ridden neighborhood in Pittsburgh. I'm not surprised that something like this happened. I hope those guys are okay, nevertheless.

4. that is very sad
you would think that a college student has a reasonable expectation of not getting shot while on campus

6. I just read an article on ESPN.com...
and it just causes outrage. Guns are being brought to parties and used for the most utterly stupid reasons. This makes me want to cry.

These basketball players were enjoying themselves, getting ready to leave the party, when a jealous boyfriend takes offense to his girlfriend's flirting. So for that, he takes out a gun and starts randomly shooting?? It is sickening. These poor basketball players now have doubts about their futures. Two of them are still hospitalized with one clinging to life and the other maybe unable to ever walk again.

And for what!!!! STUPIDITY -- THAT'S WHAT.
