KABUL (Reuters) - Around 45 Taliban insurgents and two U.S.-led coalition soldiers
have been killed in a clash in southern Afghanistan, the U.S. military said on Sunday.
The clash erupted after coalition forces engaged a group of eight to 10 Taliban
in Panjwai district of Kandahar province on Saturday.
"The enemy fighters attempted to flee the area, but then joined other reinforcements
in a nearby compound," a spokesman for the U.S. military said in a statement.
