Plane crashes into house in Florida

TAMPA, Fla. --One person was killed and another seriously injured after a small plane crashed Monday into a home in an upscale neighborhood south of Tampa, authorities said.

The plane crashed about 12:30 p.m. into a home in the Davis Islands area near downtown Tampa, starting a fire, fire Capt. Bill Wade said.

1. How awful.

I live near the flight path of a small airport, and sometimes the planes are so low the pictures on the wall vibrate. I really hate it when they fly low at 2:30 am, which should be a violation of the FAA rules. I've often been tempted to file a complaint about them.

3. This is a private airport

and somebody had the bright idea to fly out during a Tropical Storm with close to Hurricane force.

4. I flew out of Peter O Knight twice

and that was it for me. It is lined up with the MacDill runway and a small plane does not compete against a fighter. :)

All we're having in the Bay Area right now is a lot of rain. The wind is still a hundred miles out in the gulf. But there are thunderstorms in the area.

I disagree with you 100%. We discourage "crazy theories" here at DU. We prefer to discuss politics and current events in a logical and fact based manner.
