Iraq to Name Defense, Interior Ministers Sunday

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced that he will submit the names of the new Defense and Interior ministries to parliament Sunday.

In his statement to journalists earlier today following a cabinet meeting for the nomination of Defense and Interior ministries, al-Maliki said, “We have almost reached a dead end, that’s why I will submit the names of the candidates to parliament, and then the parliament can decide.”

Agreement among parties became almost impossible, he added.
