Text of report in English by Polish news agency PAP

Warsaw, 3 November: Former Minister of National Defence Jerzy Szmajdzinski ruled out on Thursday <3 November> that any Al-Qa'idah terrorists could be kept in Poland. The identical opinion was voiced by former Minister of Foreign Affairs Adam Rotfeld....Newly-appointed coordinator for special services Zbigniew Wassermann stressed he did not think such a situation was possible.

a little more at the link. Can't quote too much, article is short.

So, would 2 former officials lie? What about the current official? Maybe all 3 are out of the loop?

2. Yeah, maybe Judith Miller could get over there
and personally interview the three of them, so we could rest assured.

3. that's only a partial denial

This statement evades saying whether there are, say, Taliban fighters being held in the country or whether any were held there in the past couple of years.

6. Also ...
> This statement evades saying whether there are, say, Taliban fighters
> being held in the country or whether any were held there in the past
> couple of years.

How long does it take for a state to fly someone out of their country?

And unless someone *admits* to being in al Qaeda, the statement holds
true ... they are just "suspected" al Qaeda or simply "enemy combatants"
being tortured until they sign anything in front of them ...
