More US troops killed in Iraq, Saddam "letter" urges holy war
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20031019/ts_afp/iraq_worldwrap_031019193146

BAGHDAD (AFP) - US forces in Iraq (news - web sites) said that two of their soldiers were killed, and an Iraqi was also struck down during a gun battle, while a letter purportedly written by Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) called for jihad, or holy war, against "the hated invaders."

But another spectre emerged Sunday, as letter purportedly from Saddam urged tribal leaders to launch holy war against "the hated invaders" and those who cooperate with them.

"I urge you to help your brothers in the resistance. Call the sons of your tribes to the jihad because the day of salvation is near," said the message, obtained by AFP.

"Your strikes, which they did not expect hurt them. Their demons made them believe Iraq would be just a mouthful. To the contrary, it has been poison for them."

Just in time, the other bogeyman pops up.

1. Saddam got religion real fast...
I wonder if he went through the same 12-step that Bush did.

This just can't be true! I mean OMG :wow:

Off-hand this just makes me jump to these questions/assumptions:

1) They are both imaginery...not real...made up..boogie men

2) Cabal is behind this...chances of this happening are just...not calculatable(sp?)

3) Another of this cabal's weary efforts to link the two together

4) HOW FRIGGIN' stupid do they think we are?!?!

5) Someone mentioned THROUGH the looking-glass...we are WAY past that with this!

6) Speechless & shaking my head in utter disbelief which will probably turn to this  soon

EDIT: obvious typos

down to a religious war. This is the kind of shit that happens when idiots talk to (and occasionally claim to hear) imaginary supernatural
whatevers. It's the logical extension to the old schoolyard taunt "my daddy can beat up your daddy."

But of course it's also the -ultimate- elevation of that sort of idiocy...after all, who could be more "powerful" than a deity?

Opiate of the masses, indeed. :grr:

Edit: Holy shit, I read "saddam" and thought "Bin laden." Looks like the disinfo campaign is working even better than I thought. :eyes:
