Iraq tells bin Laden to stay out of its affairs
Iraq tells bin Laden to stay out of its affairs

October 19, 2003 - 6:17PM

Iraq has told Osama bin Laden to stay out of its affairs after the al-Qaeda leader threatened retaliation for the US occupation and hailed the "heroes" who have attacked American forces.

"We don't want bin Laden to use Iraq to settle old scores with the Americans," Governing Council member Muwaffak Rubai told AFP.

"We ask him not to interfere in Iraqi affairs and leave us in peace," Mr Rubai said after Al-Jazeera television aired the audiotape yesterday.

The official of the US-installed interim council warned al-Qaeda against "falling in the Iraqi quagmire, because the Iraqi scene is very complicated and doesn't need to be more so".

1. Correction: Iraq's US-installed puppet regime
Edited on Sun Oct-19-03 01:22 PM by IndianaGreen
Correction: Iraq's US-installed puppet regime is telling bin Laden, in their best Karla Faye Tucker imitation, "please, don't kill us."

The council appointed by Paul Bremer does not represent the people of Iraq anymore that the traitor Vidkin Quisling represented Norway during the Nazi occupation.

4. Now we are actually ANSWERING the ghost voices?
Oh me oh my. It's one thing to change the socio-economic-political landscape of the entire earth because of one pittily ass fanatic...but then to issue RESPONSES?

Isn't the 2nd question the shrinks ask after you confirm that you hear voices? "well, do you answer the voices? And do they, then, respond back to you? Like a REAL conversation?" (Nurse, prepare the O.R. for a lobotomy procedure. Stat!"
