U.S. SOLDIER KILLED IN RAMADI

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A Soldier assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), was killed May 18 during an indirect fire attack on Forward Operating Base Ramadi.

The 2nd BCT is a U.S. Army unit assigned to II MEF (Fwd) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

7. Nice anti-war poem. Too bad Wieseltier's pro-war.

A hawk like the literary editor of The New Republic has no business translating anti-war poetry; his hand sullies every syllable.

In a June 2004 essay on being wrong about Iraq, Wieseltier declared he wouldn't have supported the war had he known there were no WMDs in Iraq. Then he proceeeded to congratulate himself for being wrong. Fuck him.
