After US. offensive ends Saturday, gunmen released the governor of Iraq
Soon after the offensive ended Saturday, gunmen released the governor of Iraq's western Anbar province, relatives and a government official said.

Gov. Raja Nawaf Farhan al-Mahalawi was seized Tuesday as he drove from Qaim and kidnappers had vowed to hold him until U.S. forces withdrew from the border town. 38 Bodies Discovered As Rice Visits Iraq.

2. I think there are negotiations going on for Jeffery Ake
He was kidnapped about 3-4 weeks ago. He was from Indiana and working on a water bottling operation over there. Big headlines when they grabbed him. Then 2 days later nothing. Local channel here had a report about how his family was moving OUT of their home. It had obviously been sold. But, they did now want to talk to the media about ANYTHING. Just had a spokesman comment that'yes, they were moving'. Odd that they would 'move' while he is still in captivity? No yellow ribbons on the trees in front. Something is going on in regard to him and we need to find out. This admin does negotiate with terrorists. All the time. ( I mean they have to give them their orders and paychecks somehow, right?)
