Bodies litter streets after week of fighting
The smell of corpses wafted through residential areas of the Burundian capital on Monday, as people took advantage of a break in fighting to return to their homes and survey the damage.

A week of fighting between Hutu rebels and the Tutsi-led army has killed more than 200, officials say. Thousands more fled their homes as rebels launched attacks on Bujumbura from nearby hills.
