http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/03/18/ufever.xml&sSheet=/portal/2005/03/18/ixportaltop.html

Nearly 80 people have died from a suspected acute haemorrhagic fever in Angola.

Doctors from the World Health Organisation (WHO) say they do not believe it is the Ebola virus - a type of haemorrhagic fever and one of the world's deadliest diseases.

People are being urged to avoid Uige in the north of the country.

2. Viruses jump species when man destroys their environment.
The outbreaks of haemorrhagic fevers are directly related to environmental destruction. As man encroaches upon and destroys the natural environment, he comes into contact with these life forms. A virus only exists to procreate and survive. It's very simple. The book "The Hot Zone" is a good read to begin a study of this emerging health threat.
