In search of answers (re 9/11 commission)
U.S.News, 7/14/03
By Chitra Ragavan

For biotech lobbyist Lisa Raines, it was supposed to be a quick business trip from suburban Virginia to California. "We kissed and said 'good-bye' and 'I love you,'" recalls her husband, Stephen Push, "and I never realized it was going to be the last time." The date was Sept. 11, 2001. The plane Raines was on, American Airlines Flight 77, crashed into the Pentagon. The couple had been married 21 years. Push, now 51, quit his job as a public-relations executive and started a group called Families of September 11. Now he has a new mission in life: seeking accountability from the government. "I still don't know," he says, "what happened on my wife's plane."

Push and the families of more than 3,000 men, women, and children who died on September 11 want answers. But it remains to be seen whether official Washington wants to give them any. The hopes of the relatives rest with an independent bipartisan commission that, after months of delays, is just now beginning its work in earnest. This week, the commission will hold its third public hearing.

Its charge is sobering--and the panel is off to a rocky start. The staff has only recently sought millions of pages of government documents, and commission members have already angered some victims' relatives. Says 9/11 widow Kristen Breitweiser, "There's a whole range of things that this commission doesn't want to ask." . . .

1. That says it all.....
"I still don't know," he says, "what happened on my wife's plane."

I hope all the CT debunkers pause and think about that statement for a second. Everyday that the investigation is stuffed, derailed, or kept in "news blackout" mode increases my belief that this administrations bears responsibility for the outcome of that day.

May these enablers rot in hell.

2. We can't give the families peace
but we can give them the answers they deserve.

3. "All have been slow to provide the documents requested"
>>> Another complaint: Even though state-sponsored
terrorism is supposed to be one of the topics the panel will
address, Saudi Arabia's ties to the September 11 attacks--15
of the 19 hijackers were Saudis--is not on the table. Last
week, Zelikow apologized to the families, saying that this
week's hearing will address the subject of al Qaeda and
terrorism only in broad terms because the commission still has
not obtained important documents. <<<

The longer this goes on, the more convinced I am there is a
cover-up somewhere in or all throughout the gov't. The
implications chill me to the bone.

4. $hrub's and/or Card's behavior in the classroom
indicates that they knew something was up-- If you're the frikkin' leader of a country, you just don't sit in a second-grade classroom knowing full well that planes are being hijacked and tall buildings are burning.

6. As Fortune Mag reported
in the blurb Six Degrees of Osama,

Thomas Kean, the man Bush appointed to head the 9-11 commission, was in business with Khalid bin Mahfouz, Saudi oil biz man and brother-in-law of bin Laden, until only three weeks before Kean's appointment.

They were in biz via Amareda/Hess and Delta Oil (the Saudi oil end). oh, and bin Mahfouz was listed as a sponsor of terrorism by the UN because he was pegged as the money man behind Osama's Cole bombing in 99.

...soooooo, no conflict of interest there.

nothing "odd" about Bush's attempt to stonewall and investigation and then appoint someone who was in biz with someone known as a sponsor of OSAMA FREAKING BIN LADEN.

and I know this is common knowledge to many, but it bears repeating that bin Mahfouz was connected to Bush as an 11% owner of Harken Energy.

bin Mahfouz was also connected to Bush friend and fellow AWOL James Bath and his partner, Gaith Pharon, via the largest bank scandal in world history known as BCCI.

BCCI helped to launder money for terrorist organizations, helped to launder money for Noriega, for Pakistan's ISI, and many, many others.

(and, btw, John Kerry was called a conspiracy theorist because he thought BCCI deserved investigation..and, btw, Lee Hamilton, now on the 9-11 investigative committee, was also on the committee investigating BCCI..oh, and Cheney was the ranking member of the House who had to sign off on any report on this largest bank fraud in world history...small world when you're a corporate crook, ain't it?)

BCCI should not be confused with the Italian Banco Nazionale del Lavoro, used by Bush Sr. to arm Saddam, btw, with arms which were used against our very soldiers in the first Gulf War.

maybe, since so many Americans don't even realize that Saddam and Osama were not aligned, Bush doesn't want them to learn that Osama was a CIA operative when they armed the mujahadeen?

...for starters...

7. What's missing here is
blowjobs.

We have big money ($70MM) to spend on blowjobs. We have the full power of corporate media available...if there's a blowjob. We have Congress willing to impeach Presidents...if they have a blowjob.

But 3000 American lives? Saudi oil money and terror financiers with direct connections to our President and his handpicked chairman to investigate his compliciuty in 9/11?

Nah, no blowjobs....

8. What I want to know is....
why wasn't Shrub whisked away from the school by the Secret Service when it became clear that it was a terrorist attack? That was the first clue that something was up.
