China to issue its report on US human rights:
: Beijing, March 1 : Peeved by US criticism of its human rights record, China will issue a report highlighting what it terms America's own poor track record, Xinhua reported.

The government will issue the Human Rights Record of the United States in 2004 on March 3 in response to the Country Reports on Human Rights Practices issued by the US, which condemns China's poor human rights record.

11. What has China ever done for the cause of human rights?
Edited on Wed Mar-02-05 07:15 AM by Heaven and Earth
They might think about actually doing something before they attack us.

I am not saying that we don't have a bad record at this point. We do. But China is the last country that has any leg to stand on to criticize us.

Now if it were the EU or something, that would be different. A report from them would be more than just propaganda.

12. Not that I like the Chinese government, but I think their point is
one of the following:

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

The pot shouldn't call the kettle black.

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Turnabout is fair play.

China should be criticized about their crappy human-rights record. But we should have our own house more in order before we issue the criticism.

13. Really? How many sovereign nations has China invaded & occupied in
the past 4 years?

America is actually the last country that has any leg to stand on to be criticizing anyone.

Anyone either. Especially in the last 4 years.

Let's take care of the trash in our own backyard first.
