Task force Baghdad soldier killed by IED #1418

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


TASK FORCE BAGHDAD SOLDIER KILLED BY IED

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- A Task Force Baghdad Soldier died from an improvised-explosive-device detonation about 4:30 p.m., Jan. 26.

Two other Soldiers were injured in the attack.

The name of the Soldier killed is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The incident is under investigation.

2. I had suspected that the insurgents were waiting until the election
to launch a massive scale of attacks. There had been a relative lull in insurgent activity over the past two weeks. It looks like this may be the case. Suddenly they're coming out all over. Look for it to get much worse.
