This Wednesday, Secretary of State Ken Blackwell is expected to certify Ohio's election results.

But before that civil rights activist the Reverend Jesse Jackson will be making stops in Ohio to push for a recount.

Jackson will be in Columbus on Sunday to meet with community leaders and discuss concerns about voting in Ohio.

On Monday morning he will bring his concerns to Cincinnati.

4. According to other threads he's been in contact with Jackson and is
supporting the effort.

What's been said? Who knows, but a prosecutor doesn't bring a case before ample evidence. My guess is Mr. Kerry is involved.

7. Kerry Supports Ohio Vote Investigation, Jackson says
....

By suspicious, Jackson is referring to the latest analysis of the Nov. 2 vote by a coalition of Ohio voting rights activists. In analyzing the still-unofficial results, the totals reveal that C. Ellen Connally, an African-American Democratic candidate from Cleveland for Ohio Chief Justice, received 257,000 more votes than Kerry.

The reason these vote counts are suspect is because Connelly, a retired African-American judge, was vastly outspent in her race, and did not have the visibility of the presidential race.

“This looks like a computer glitch or a computer fix,” said Bob Fitrakis, a lawyer, political scientist and Editor of the Columbus Free Press (http://freepres.org) who has written about election irregularities since Bush was declared the winner. Fitrakis is among the team of lawyers who announced they would soon file an election challenge in the state’s Supreme Court.

“Statistically, Kerry, as the Democratic presidential candidate, should have more votes than Connally. In a presidential election, most voters have the priority of casting a vote for president and the votes for president are almost always much higher than those of candidates farther down the ticket. When voters vote for Democratic candidates farther down the ticket, it is usually being driven by a sample ballot from the Party, starting at the top with president. Many voters simply don’t vote for Supreme Court justices. It is highly improbable that Connally’s vote totals would be so much higher than Kerry’s,” Fitrakis said.

Go to SUNDAY MONITOR - NOVEMBER 28

After about 20 minutes of news, you will hear a 20 minute interview with Wayne Madsen.

Then, at the very end of the show, there is a 4 minute interview live from Columbus Ohio regarding Jesse Jackson's appearance today, and the contemplated lawsuit to contest the Ohio election, based on these anomalies. In fact, because it was breaking news, it goes over into the next show -- to access that, go to PAN AFRICAN JOURNAL for a few minutes.

13. I thought the recount was already accepted and planned for, WTF?
I'm glad he's raising the visibility a bit, but he's a dollar short and a day late if he's going to be asking for a recount - we have the Greens and Democratic grassroots to thank for the Ohio recount.

It seems a little opportunistic of him, after all, he can't fail - other people already arranged the recount, so it bothers me a little that he would run in and take the spotlight.

I'm not insinuating anything, just wondering and having a hard time believing coincidence theries of late. This one makes me wonder, ya know?

:wtf:

14. You missed the point
Jesse was there to say that Blackwell needs to recuse himself and this recount needs to start NOW.

He was also there to explain why Kerry conceded when he did and why he now supports the recount effort.

Wayne Madsen said the effort is to get the recert stopped by Friday. He said we must all petition our representatives and local Dems who were possibly victims of the hacking as well. He encouraged LOCAL efforts on our part to make this happen.

16. It's Alive - It's Alive
Edited on Mon Nov-29-04 09:40 AM by seemslikeadream
It is ungenerous, but not together inaccurate, to point out that Frankenstein’s Monster’s head was shaped not unlike that of John Kerry’s. So, after the weekend’s developments in Ohio one can almost see Colin Clive hovering over the recumbent Democrat nominee and repeating his two-word claim to fame.

“John Kerry supports a full investigation” of the voting irregularities in Ohio, the Rev. Jesse Jackson told reporters Saturday before he began two days of rallies in the state to push for an investigation - and a recount. “I talked with John Kerry last night (Friday), and he supports the investigation,” The Chicago Sun-Times further quoted Jackson. “His lawyers are observing it closely.”

Well, evidently Rev. Jackson can observe the body twitching even if the rest of us are still where we were when Senator Kerry made his direct-to-video, M.C. Escher drawing of a statement: “regardless of the outcome of this election.” We’re scratching our heads with one hand, and wanting to use the other to poke the tall, supine creature with a stick to see if it really is alive.

Several reporters on Saturday’s conference call asked about the event that ensured the mainstream media silence that has been roundly mistaken as a “lock-down”: Senator Kerry’s concession speech on November 3rd.
