1. Another win for the American League
Besides, they won't keep any of the Giants pitchers in long enough to give the NL a chance.

2. what, Fred Lewis didn't make it?

Glad to see Daily Bailey make it but Dallas Braden also deserved to go.

I think at this point I would rather see Juan Pierre be an extra than Orlando Hudson, who is in a huge slump. Maybe Pierre will be included in the pool of players to be picked by the fans later as an extra.

Uh, oh. cboy's gonna be pissed that Panda Sandoval was snubbed in favor of David Wright!

5. I'm surprised Manny Ramirez didn't make it as a starter. ...the tens of
thousands of LA Dodger buffoons, who drive down to give him a verbal hand job Friday night in San Diego, must be furious that their ballot-stuffing campaign backfired.

3. I'm glad Wakefield made it.
Youklis should be the starting AL 1B, IMO.

I like the American League's chances this year...unless Lincecum pitches the whole friggin game.

4. Where's the Panda?
Pablo Sandoval leads the starter Davis Wright in BA, HR, RBI, SP, and FP.

He leads reserve Ryan Zimmerman in BA, OBP and SP..

This is just highway robbery, another case of East Coast bias.

Jerry Manuel is probably just pissed off because Pablo has surpassed the suspicious David Wright as the best third baseman in the NL.

6. When I read your subject line I was going to reply that it was an East Coast conspiracy.
But with you, satire loses all meaning.

7. I noticed something odd on the NL roster
there are 3 reserve first baseman....and only 1 third baseman.

Doesn't seem quite right...particularly since Sandoval is a third baseman.

14. It's not east Coast Bias
it's because each team HAS to have someone. Who else is going from the Nats if not Zimmerman?

The Panda wasn't competing against Zimmerman, they HAD to pick him. He was competing against Howard, Fielder and Adrian Gonzalez.

He is on the ballot for the last player, though, along with Victorino, Reynolds, Kemp and Guzman.

8. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Johan Santana made the team!!

Let's look at Mr. money bags' All Star Stats. (try not to laugh)

9-6, 3.34 ERA

Salary -- $18,876,139.00

But to his credit, he is keeping the team loose and not falling below .500!

I wish inthebrain would come out of seclusion and fiercely remind me again with comments peppered with insults -- just how much better Santana is than Matt Cain!!!

Philadelphia Phillies' Jimmy Rollins(notes), background left, rounds the bases on his solo home run as New York Mets starting pitcher Johan Santana(notes) (57) walks back to the mound in the first inning of a baseball game Sunday, July 5, 2009, in Philadelphia.

10. Yep.. compare his stats to these two
Lincecum 9-2 ERA: 2.23

Cain 9-2 ERA: 2.48

One of the them rightfully should have the honor, Lincecum IMO, of being the starter but Santana, despite his inferior stats, remains a possibility.. seeing as how he plays in NY, East Coast bias comes into play.

And considering Joe Torre is one of the coaches, Chad Billingsley is another possibility.

12. Yup .. ESPN will be devoting coverage night and day .. absolutely 24/7
non-stop bias why Santana .. Mister East Coaster and in particular, Mr. New Yorker, deserves to start be default.

It's absolutely despicable.

11. Glad to see Ryan Franklin there.
This is one spectacular turnaround he's having. Last year, he and Jason Isringhausen teamed up to blow 31 saves and eliminate the Cardinals from the playoffs. He's making up for it.

Russell the Muscle, the Mariner first baseman.

We get four Tampa Rays instead.
