HELP find the smoking gun...
HELP find the smoking gun...

On Election night 2004, Rove and GW entered the White House and went to the Oval Office - the self-described "Election War Room" - where 6 folding tables were set up with PCs and communications equipment staffed by RNC employees.

In December 2004 an annonymous RNC Information Systems employee posted a description of the scene, identified 7 states where he manipulated vote totals and supplied an algorithm run to manipulate those vote totals.

Request of DUers:

FIND THE PHOTOS: Find copies of photos released by the White House on November 3rd depicting Rove and GW in the Election War Room on election night. The photos were taken by an unnamed White House photographer, released to the press, and aired at least on CNN and MSNBC on 11/3. The photos contain some of the faces of the RNC employees. If we can get these photos and pass them to the likes of Greg Palast, perhaps the fearful RNC employee who posted can be identified, tracked down, and convinced to go public ...Admittedly a long shot but, hey, we've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

FIND THE PHOTOS (please!)

14. To hand off a suitcase of cash, is my guess...to all the 'participants.'
...to make sure (at the last minute) that the plan was "go"...and the "deed" would be done properly. This is an administration that deals in hand-outs of cash (i.e., all the missing Billions to contractors in Iraq.) And there were millions of misplaced Florida FEMA money just looking for a "home" about Election time. How fortuitous.

15. My feeling IS there's also an "audio tape" of that night in the "War Room"
...that will make this Watergate-redux. My feeling is someone's ambivalently "sitting on" some very valuable audio and visual evidence of that night in the War Room.

6. Interesting... Not from the photos shown on 11/3 of the Oval Office
"Election War Room". Wonder what happened to those photos? This photo appears to be in another room of the White House. Is this history doctoring or did they have more than one War Room on election night?

7. The only 'War Room" I've seen noted, is set up in the 'old family Din. rm'
I've checked the White House site to no avail. (for pictures)
If someone published more pictures, it is very likely Charles Ommanney, the man who took the photo k8conant found, is the one who took them.

Here is an email if you feel so compelled.

If anyone has a subscription to Newsweek, he worked for them, I would search their site well.

9. Kip, I knew nothing of this:
"In December 2004 an annonymous RNC Information Systems employee posted a description of the scene, identified 7 states where he manipulated vote totals and supplied an algorithm run to manipulate those vote totals."
Do you have a source for this? Where did the employee post?

16. Actually, it was posted here and
Raw Story. I posted a plea to DU proogrammers, seeking someone to model the RNC employee's algorythm using eixt polls vs reported results to test the accuracy of his claim. No one stepped up to do this. I'd searh the archives for a refernce but the archives are currently down.

19. Here it is - The RNC whistleblower
While not the instance I originally found, here is one source of the RNC employee whistleblower

Voter Fraud - Please Read My Explanation Below 27.Nov.2004 19:38
Brad Menfil
Brad Menfil is not my real name. I work for the RNC. I fear reprisals
if I'm found out.

The truth about this election is this: Florida and Ohio had to go for
Bush in order for him to "win" the election. In reality he lost both
states. In fact, he did not even win the popular vote. He lost the
national popular vote by at least 1,750,000. This shows you the scale
of the fraud.

<-- snip -->

Florida first. The 200,000+ margin of victory for Bush made this state uncontestable. Everybody assumes that even with some fraud, Kerry could never have made up the difference in a recount. But Kerry actually won by about 750,000 votes. The numbers were changed by a computer program (in both electronic and scan-tron voting systems) called "KerryLite." "KerryLite" of course is not actual name of the program. The actual name is 11-5-18-18 etc. For additional encryption, the numbers were jumbled but I'm not sure in which order. The numbers replace the letters of the alphabet. For example, K is the eleventh letter of the alphabet.

So the if-then statement goes something like this: "if total true
Kerry>total true Bush, Bush x 1.04x (.04 is a random number)(total true Kerry), total true Bush". The second part of the equation takes the total number of votes cast and subtracts the new Bush total, subtracts the third party totals and leaves the rest for Kerry.

Sometimes the program would also reduce third party votes and award
them to Bush. And even where Bush legitimately won, he was still
awarded additional votes. The big Democratic counties (Broward for
example) went to Kerry because it had to appear that everything was on the up and up. It's interesting to see this unfold. Does anybody wonder why the Republican counties were mostly counted after the Democratic counties? You should wonder, and also know that this was no accident. The Bush team had to make up the votes as the night went on.

Find the photos, find this RNC employee == smoking gun.

Rove, Card, Rice Scrambled To Nix Exit Poll Scare

Bush-Cheney campaign officials said today that Bush advisor Karl Rove, working with chief of staff Andy Card and national security advisor Condi Rice out of the White House, took the lead Tuesday in refuting early media exit polls showing a big election night loss for President Bush. Officials said the trio, from the Old Family Dining Room, were glued to computers showing GOP exit polling data that conflicted with the early media polls that found Bush losing big in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. Rove, working though the Republican information, found that the polls were flawed, especially in that they were not counting men proportionally. He and others sent out word that the polls were wrong, just as calls were coming in from gloomy aides around the nation.

Bush officials said that they got their message out at about 3 p.m., and memos from White House surrogates started filling GOP Blackberries criticizing the polls and explaining that the president was actually doing better than they showed. "We had good solid numbers," said an insider. "We were always running ahead" of Sen. John Kerry. Armed with the info, the White House blasted out talking points "just to keep our people up," said an official.

17. WHERE ARE THESE PHOTOS???
Did White House Black OPS purge the Internet of the evidence?

Anyone up for a FOIA request to the White House for the full set of Oval Office Rove/GWB "Election War Room" White House photos from the evening of November 2 2004?

20. Wait a minute...This story (person) was not real. I remember
distinctly that it was completely debunked.

Are you saying you know the whistleblower was bogus but you want to pursue anyway?

21. BS
I doubt Rove is stupid enough to manipulate votes directly while raising his chances at getting caught.

Smells like BS to me.
