Are there more parallels between Ralph Nader and Michael Jackson?
Edited on Fri Jul-02-04 12:46 PM by LoZoccolo
In this post, I do not wish to accuse Michael Jackson of the crimes that he's currently on trial for; he is considered innocent until proven guilty and will have his day in court.

However, I do think that there are some parallels between what we do know about Michael Jackson, and the candidacy of Ralph Nader.

One I think of is that people have accused Michael Jackson of not being able to handle adult relationships and so he replaces these relationships with ones with children. I saw an article from Salon yesterday that states that Nader has alienated many of the people that supported him in the past and in his heydey, and it also seems that a lot of Nader's support comes from college students:

Another parallel I think of is kind-of related to this: Michael Jackson promises an escape from reality to the Neverland Ranch, but it is a fleeting escape as you always have to come back to reality. At the same time, Ralph Nader says that he provides some alternative to the two major parties, and yet one of the two major parties will still win the election.

2. Another one.
They've both had long illustrious careers that may be severely dampered by later developments.
