7. Is the video too much for you?
This race is far from over...theres months and months to go..neither one of the candidates have enough delegates to win..Delegates can drift from one to the other..

So, my friend, the RACE IS ON... do not listen to the naysayers trying to fool you into thinking Obama is a sure thing...He's NOT!

It is prophesied: "a woman will crush the head of the snake!"

HE's the one carrying the repigs in the polls. HE's the one sending out meme's from Harry and Louise. HE's the one sending out fliers that beg repigs to switch for a day, and all that other bullshit. HE's the one saying he wants to 'reach out' to them.

That is a bullshit lie, and I am saying so from now on.

29. Joe Scarborough, Joe "With the Dead Female Intern" and "resigned from Congress" Joe?
"FORT WALTON BEACH, FL. - Lori Klausutis, a 28-year-old office worker for Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-Fl), was found dead in the congressman's district office. Police said preliminary findings from the medical examiner's office showed no foul play or any outward indication of suicide."

A Death in the Congressman's Office

Does Anybody in the Press Care About Lori Klausutis?
By Denis Wright and Chris George August 8, 2001

Unbelievably, that was it. The story was simply dropped. A young female employee of one of Florida's Congressmen had died unexpectedly in the Congressman's office. There were no witnesses to her death and the cause of death was not apparent.
Klausutis' boss, Joe Scarborough had recently resigned from Congress prematurely and unexpectedly, amid rumors about his marital fidelity and soon after a divorce. He had also abruptly resigned as publisher of the Independent Florida Sun, claiming that resigning from Congress and as publisher was necessary to spend more time with his sons.

...There was a great deal of ambiguity over whether Lori had suffered past medical problems. Scarborough's press secretary, Miguel Serrano, made mention of health problems in Lori's past, but could not be more specific. In response, Fort Walton Beach Police Chief Steve Hogue is quoted as saying "That's part of our investigation, checking into her medical history." Associate Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Berkland said "She had a past medical history that was significant, but it remains to be seen whether that played a role in her death". Soon after a member of the immediate family rejected out of hand that Lori had any significant medical problems. She was, in fact, quite an athlete, having recently run an 8K with a very respectable time and she belonged to the Northwest Florida Track Club.

The results of the mandated autopsy, however, were deemed "inconclusive" by Dr. Berkland, who ordered more specific toxicology tests. These results were expected by the middle of the following week, around the first or second day of August. Dr. Berkland commented at the time "This turns over several puzzle pieces in the case of her death and reveals more of the picture".

...It's also a matter of public record that he (Berkland) was suspended from his position as Medical Examiner in the State of Florida in July, 1999.

And so, what we have here is the death of a healthy young woman who died of a blow to the head and a lie from the Medical Director's office about this blow which was quite obvious to the naked eye. They then had to go search for some reason why she might have "fallen" and hit her head. And they have found an "undiagnosed cardiac arrhythmia". But a number of questions remain to be answered, and we have requested opinions from Dr. Nelson, the Chairman of the Medical Examiners Commission.

Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 10:45 AM by landonb16
you are getting advise from a Republican. While we are talking about this, what is Pat Buchanan saying?

The truth is that there is no problem with the remaining 10 contest to having their say. I think Clinton is right, the people should be able to make their say. The problem is that when one DEM candidate hits the other DEM candidate below the belt, IT HURTS THE PARTY. And the numbers are showing it.

It doesn't matter if the low blow is true, it is an unspoken rule.

I'll leave you with this video http://youtube.com/watch?v=zMVOT-IH8sg and you tell me how this is going to get us health care, end the war, put the right people on the supreme court, and push every other issue that the Dems have over the Repubs.

Geeeeeeeez, are you ignorant or do you merely play a dumb-ass on a message board?

BTW: I don't drink...and the Cal Bar, dumbass, is the California State Bar. The "bar" refers to how courts used to be set up and how one gained entry to "pass the bar." Duh....

Now get a link to the registrar where the witness list is in fact filed, OK?

60. I'll guarantee you..
There are many here still fence sitting waiting for Obama to be declared the winner and nominee by the DNC. If it happens, it won't be for a very long time. Not with Hillary still fighting for us. Not with this business of Obama half brother ridding S. Africa of the Jews and anarchists not following his lead even though he lost the presidential election.

I'm sure the Jewish community in America will rise up here against Obama's interference in their elections which caused the aftermath of an all out massacre in S. Africa.

59. Joe=lover of the Regan Democrats and "blue collar worker"
Hillary represents the blue collar workers and Joe seems increasingly interested in their plight for whatever reason. I think he just does not like Obama since the Wright incident-thinks Obama is racist towards white men or something. Joe also seems to have something for Hillary and Chelsea. At least he likes strong women. He is entertaining, I enjoy watching him but using Rethugs as our allies is dangerous. They don't really care who wins the primary. They just want the Dems to implode on themselves.

64. It's not a rumor. She can't win. Here's why...
She is so thoroughly loathed by the majority of rightwingers, that they would rather vote for Satan than Hillary Clinton. In addition, her campaign tactics (which many view as the same as the Bush Jr campaign tactics, which totally infuriated Dems during the 2000 and 2004 elections), have alienated many Democrats who themselves would rather vote for Satan than Hillary Clinton.

But here is the important part.

Not only would she not get the votes of the majority of rightwingers and many liberals, but she would be the best voter-registration incentive the GOP every experienced. Rightwingers who had never bothered to vote before would come down out of the hills to register to vote if it meant they could vote against Hillary Clinton. And, they may so much enjoy kicking Hillary in the metaphorical kiester in the voting booth, they might show up for future elections to see if it is as much fun kicking other Democrats in their metaphorical kiesters in the voting booth. This would negatively impact future elections, as these newly-registered Republicans continued to vote against all Democrats because they hate Hillary Clinton so much.

Indeed, at this point the only way John McCain can win is if Hillary Clinton is the Democratic Party candidate.

Especially now that she has lied--FOUR TIMES--about being under sniper fire. Going against a bonafide war hero, McCain, who HAS suffered sniper fire, the GOP would annhilate her. Not only is her lie about being under sniper fire an insult to McCain, but to every soldier who has experienced the threat of sniper fire.

She just can't win.

Why do you think rightwinger forces like Limbaugh have urged Republicans to vote in the Democratic primary for Hillary Clinton? Because they KNOW they can win against her as the Democratic candidate.

And would we want her as president, if she did manage to win?

Even if she did become president, we would be stuck in another four years of Bush policies (she has endorsed almost all of his policies, despite our pleas with her to stand up for the American people and not cave to the neocons)AND another four years of investigations of the Clintons' actions in the White House. HRC has been an eager proponent of outsourcing jobs overseas, and the Clintons are very involved in sending American jobs to India. They have huge financial interest in it, in fact.

Also, we have the Nookiegate issue. As my midwestern mother would say, "A skunk doesn't change its stripes overnight," so we could look forward to Bill Clinton's continuing womanizing in the White House, with an anticipated Nookiegate II, Return of Nookiegate, and Nookiegate: The Horror Continues.

These are all reasons why Hillary Clinton is unsuitable for the Democratic Party's presidential candidate. In the first place, she can't win, and even if a miracle occurred and she did win, she would continue the destruction of our nation Bush Jr started.

66. Amazing!
HRC & her supporters are unprincipled, grasping at straws.

Whining about harsh comments & then Bill begging for a fight? Holding Joe up as a reputable journalist? Changing their mind about playing by the rules in FL & MI? Caucuses suck now? When there is nowhere left to turn, turn over a rock & you may find a worm.

Obama will continue to go after McCain & HRC will become more unhinged by the second. She is so obviously not what the country wants. It is hard to watch so many democrats cling to the past. Blame Bush, but it is time to move on from the Clinton style of politics. It is what is best for the country. Me, I preferred DK, then Edwards, now Obama. I will vote for the Dem nominee, but HRC will make me vomit while doing so. It is sad. She will not be re-elected if she were elected the first time & no HRC supporters seem to be realistic about her being hamstrung when she takes office. She has not led in the Senate. She will not lead from the WH. She is not a leader!

80. Joe Scarborough is a Republican whose interest...
is in seeing the "Democrat Party" self-immolate, and the primary season go on, spectacularly, for as long as possible. Richard Wolffe is a respected journalist who knows what he is talking about, and has for years. He would not have a job at Newsweek if he did not. Hillary Clinton's supporters need to see whose "views" they are agreeing with, and who they are relegating to their personal hate lists. Seriously, Joe Scarborough? It's still about the math.

105. Wolffe was being absolutely correct.
The pledged delegates exist to show the will of the people. He did not say that it was the entire ruleset or the final vote. We can always argue how precise a representation of the people the delegate system is - but in in contrast to the superdelegates, who are the will of the party, that is a fair description.

Scarborough strawmanned it to the best of his ability, and deliberately prevented any further argumentation about the SDs likelyhood of overthrowing that will - which 100% was on Wolffe lips as he interrupted.

The media keeps saying 2/3s or nearly 70% of the delegates is what Clinton needs. As far as I can tell, because of the county delegate system, that translates into a demand for almost 75-25 victories from here on out, to come even close to leveling out the delegate difference. And the numbers point more to a 50-50 total from here on out, afaik.

Barring a complete meltdown on Obamas side - which I can't see coming, given he is more or less growing money on trees these days - or a scandal of rather large proportions tanking his GE polling, I would be willing to put a sizable amount of cash where my mouth is, when I say that I do not think the SDs would overthrow a pledged delegate lead. That being 1, 150 or 200.

And I think Wolffe was about to say something to that effect. Nothing elitist about that.
