I got a surgery date
Saw a second surgeon today and he put me on the schedule for this coming Tuesday.
He pulled up my CT scan on the computer and walked us through what he was seeing, and more importantly what he wasn't seeing.

This guy has ~20 years experience with this surgury and I feel very confident everything will work out.
It was a relief when the first surgeon scheduled me for the 17th but having an end date almost two weeks earlier is even better. My son will be coming down to be here and my MiL is making chicken soup. Can't ask for anything better.

6. I take it what he saw/didn't see was pretty positive news for you, all things considered?
I sure hope so. And I'm glad you're getting such a quick surgery date. The sooner the better. Enjoy your soup and thank you for keeping us updated. I will be thinking of you all day Tuesday.

Edited on Wed Aug-01-07 07:45 PM by seemunkee
I'll have her or munkeeson post an update.
One thing I'll really happy about is I'll probably be able to go with my wife and daughter to move munkeegirl into her dorm. I'll let my son do all the lifting though.

12. I have some strong Ju-ju left over from my surgery that I am happy to give....
It's very strong magic stuff, so use it sparingly. When you are finished with it, pass it on to someone who needs it and complete the circle.

Good luck, partner. ;)

Ps: I have a CT scan this week, myself, to see how things are shaping up inside.

22. This is so similar.
I initially was tracking for a trip to Mayo, looking at at least 3-4 weeks. Saw second guy and had it done in 2 weeks, back home recovering. This is going to go well, let me know if I can help.
