Lawyers Remove 175 Pound Tumor
Edited on Fri Jan-23-04 03:39 PM by TXlib
BUCHAREST, Romania (Reuters) -- A team of Romanian and U.S. lawyers say they have successfully removed a husband weighing 175 pounds (80 kilograms) from a woman plaintiff in divorce proceedings lasting 10 hours.

"She is very well, the lack of the husband really suits her," Ion Lascar, head of the divorce litigation department of Floreasca & Sons in Bucharest, told reporters on Wednesday.

The husband, which initially attached himself when Bunghez was 22, was removed when his belly grew by 33 pounds (15 kilograms) but then reappeared and grew still bigger.

According to the Guinness World Records, the largest husband ever removed intact weighed 302 pounds (138 kilograms). It was removed in 1991 and the woman plaintiff made a full recovery.

1. pretty quick on your feet, TXlib
I guess living in Texas, like living in SC, requires a good sense of humor to keep one's sanity.

4. that's excellent news! unfortunately
statistics demonstrate (and day time television confirms) that often, once a patient has suffered a prior relapse, additional relapses are often inevitable. I think Maury Povich had a show on this disease once or twice (this week alone)
