7. No joke, I had a ghost

In my old townhouse I rented. It used to flush my upstairs bathroom toilet all the time. I guess it was constipated. I had four wax seals and five ball valves replaced on that damn toilet and even had the rental manager replace the commode with a new one, only to keep hearing random flushes at odd hours day and night.

If you were in there at the right time, the lights would flicker and the actual handle of the toilet would depress right in front of your eyes. Several of my friends witnessed it and we'd always joke about the poop ghost I had.

The other wierd thing that happened in the bathroom was that the sink hot and cold taps would kick on full blast at random times. American standard sink with moen fixtures, one cold tap on the right, one hot tap on the left.

The first time it happened, I was upstairs in the spare bedroom I was using as an office and I heard the water come on full blast suddenly. So, I went in there and thought "huh that's weird" and shut it off. I chalked it up to back pressure on the water main or something similar and went back to work in the office room.

About 2 minutes later, I heard the water kick back on again and thought I had some sort of a loose tap or something, only this time it was the HOT water tap on the left, not the cold tap as before. Weird.

At least I had a very hygenic ghost, or one that was OCD or something.
