Incredible evening.
Difficult to describe the impact Dean has on an audience because words cheapen the experience. Hes the real McCoy.
Something about last night felt really good, moreso than the other times Ive seen him....not sure why, but the energy was pretty kinetic.
If Dean continues on this path, hes in the White House in 2004.
Remember when elderly individuals used to say that someone was a "fine human being".
I think thats the best way for me to describe Governor Dean.
I believe he is one of the finest human beings I will ever have the opportunity to meet.
To see what he has accomplished, to be involved in his campaign, to see enthusiastic Democrat believers again, hopeful people, spirit filled rooms, passion, and to see how driven Dean is in awakening people of the incredible importance of building a proud, confident, strong Democratic community, bringing people back to each other and back to our own governing process.
To me, the Dean movement is about connection to others and commitment to progress, and learning to appreciate and understand diversity. Its about about moving forward and leaving the old systems and beliefs behind that are not only antiquated and hedonistic, but they are eliminating every creatures existence by attacking everything necessary to live and thrive on the planet.
We can no longer afford to maintain systems dominated by narrow minded beliefs that have held us hostage for so long. If we continue in the same direction, we are done.
There is no other candidate capable of winning that engenders this belief and is as committed to positive and imperitive change. That of course is why he is being attacked so desperately even by members of our own Party.
Many of our own Dem party members are scared of their comfort zone being shaken up. They dont realize that worldwide, others are suffering because of our addiction to such a comfort zone, not to mention the lifestyle that all of us Americans lead.
We have some great presidential candidates. And some that are fine human beings like Howard Dean.
But we only have one Howard Dean.
And we are LUCKY and I believe, blessed as hell to have him as a candidate.
Last night it was made apparent to me one more time again.
