Iran Agrees to Full Nuke Enrichment Freeze-Diplomats
(Reuters) - Iran has agreed to suspend its uranium enrichment program in an attempt to ease concerns that its nuclear program is aimed at developing weapons, a Western diplomat close to the United Nations (news - web sites) said on Sunday

The diplomat said Iran had not yet taken the crucial step of formally informing the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of the scope and starting date for its suspension, which will make the commitment binding.

"A deal for a full suspension is done but the IAEA has not received a letter confirming it. That's also important -- that they would have a look at that and see what they (Iran) signed on to," the diplomat told Reuters.

Iran, which denies U.S. accusations that it is secretly building nuclear weapons, had been expected to announce the suspension last week.

2. Has PNAC brought this country to its knees?
Maybe for the better.

Do you think PNAC will disssolve or will they start saying that Iran is lying and they have proof - some documents concocted in Niger, Israel, and Italy.

3. Iran-EU nuclear agreement finalized Tehran
The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council stated that the final draft of the Iran-EU agreement would be finalized on Monday and released to the media. Asked about whether there were any guarantees that the Europeans would abide by their commitments this time, Rowhani said, “I feel that the Europeans are more serious in their talks this time.”

He went on to say that Iran has announced its final position on uranium enrichment to the International Atomic Energy Agency in a letter, announcing that Tehran has agreed to the scope of enrichment suspension mentioned in the IAEA Board resolution in September.

Rowhani added that Iran would only suspend some parts of its enrichment activities. He also said Iran had reached an agreement with the Europeans on security issues.

6. Iran need only wait until the Chinese oil deal is finalized
I like Iran. I like Iran's prospects for the future
if they are allowed to continue their former path of reform.
It would be a horrible tragedy if bush
were allowed to rape Iran as he has Iraq.
I'm rooting for Iran on this one.

4. I feel so muich safer now...
President: "General Turgedson, when you instituted the human reliability tests, you assured me that there was no possiblility of such a thing occurring!"

General Turgedson: "Well I don't think its fair to condemn a whole program because of a single slip up!"

5. Friends are friends unless they are Cardassian...
The White House reacted cautiously to Iran's announcement, saying: "We look forward to a briefing by our European friends."

Sorry to use a Star Trek reference, but that came to my mind instantly when I read the quote above. I'm not sure why,

7. You can bet
There's lot of carrot involved, lot's of financial agreements to open trade between EU and Iran coming in the future. Most importantly, tacit, at least, support for Iranian Oil Bourse, trading quite likely in euros.

Ie. EU and Iran deciding to cooperate to mosh the petrodollar empire, in return for pleasing US "fears" of Iranian nukular bomb... sweet! :D
