DETROIT -- A new Michigan law, that restricts adult oriented signs from showing graphic photos, has sparked controversy. One strip club is even suing over the issue.

Last Wednesday the legislation, that was pushed by Senator Tupac A. Hunter, took effect. It forces adult entertainment or sexually oriented businesses from putting questionable images on signs that were visible from the outside of the establishment.

According to the new laws, those types of businesses are now only allowed to have words, numbers, and trademarks on the signs. If a company violates those rules, it could be fined up to $10,000.

Now, The Penthouse Club is suing. According to the Associated Press, the Detroit area club says the law violates the club’s freedom of expression.

How about if they just ban the words and leave the pics?
