Anyway, I was being partly jocular. A more reasonable test would be the single question: "What are the names (not the party affiliations) of three people running for X position in your district?" That is if there are three or more. If there are only two, then the voter would have to name both. The logic behind this is that if, after a long campaign featuring TV ads and lawn signs all over the place, the voter still hasn't bothered to make even this minimum effort to find out who's running, he probably doesn't deserve a ballot. Anyway, he could always find out the answer and come back later in the day.
