Just take a few handsful of them, clean them and cut off the few damaged outside leaves. Put them in a steamer bag or a microwave safe container with a couple of teaspoons of butter and put them in the microwave for an appropriate amount of time for the power of your mw and the amount you are cooking.

Result: Heaven. Even my kid thinks so...
