or Help and (Loving-Kindness) Discussion. It didn't get much response. :)
GD has definitely declined in quality and I agree it's a competition for attention that's driving away many long-term members.
Politics 2012 is actually going really well. It's straight horse race discussion. Most of the ideological crap is being flung in GD.
I need to learn to ignore the trolls. Although the other day I did manage to smack the Founder of the Pink Pistols around quite a bit on gun control - talk about a self-acknowledging Libertarian extremist. x(
This economy is killing me - I started doing my taxes today and my income from last year is below the poverty line. x(
