9. P.S. Fundamentalists attribute the whole jewish=arab deal to the bit about hagar.
And Abraham's conduct is very important, IMO, because God liked Abraham so much that Abraham was the foundation of Judaism. And, Judaism was the foundation of of the so-called Judeo-Christian tradition.

BTW, IMO, Christ's teachings were radically different from those of the Old Testament. i understand a great deal of jewish tradition and a great deal of Christian tradition, but I don't really have a clue what 'judeo-Christian' tradition means. oh, I know what people who use the term intend it to mean, but, IMO, it's bs.

Anyhoo, the reason that I mentioned gossip is that, somewhere in the Book of Proverbs--I cannot quote chapter and verse unfortunately without a lot of research that i don't feel like doing--is a short list of behaviors described as the things God hates most.

Gossip is among them; homosexual sex is not. In fact, IIRC, nothing sexual is in the list of things God supposedly hates most, according to the Book of Proverbs.
