1. A little more transparency would be nice
Nobody has suggested that DHS took part in the two conference calls organized by the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

OK nobody has suggested it, but has anybody denied it?

Was DHS or other federal agency on the conference calls with the Mayors?

Also were they on the calls with the police chiefs?

Does anybody keep minutes of the phone conference meetings?

How often are the meetings, when are they, are they open to the public?

Will they be recorded and aired on C-SPAN?

Can we see the notes and have the full list of participants?

Or is it a secret for some reason? Is it a secret for "security reasons"?

This is not to suggest there is any sinister plot.
Also this is not to suggest the absence of a sinister plot.

If the mayors and police chiefs are having meetings about how to handle illegal assemblies, whether the federal government was at the meeting or not, the meetings should be public.

That would be the best way to dispel conspiracy theories.
