beautifully.

She's learning a third language at her school--a private one.

Now, she didn't get that way because I am anti-intellectual. She got that way because she has two parents with multiple graduate degrees who provide her a wonderful home life that is conducive to learning. She also benefits from parents who have an income level that can provide her opportunities.

I've never had to threaten to burn her toys to get her to practice scales--but then again, I don't expect Chopin from my 8 year-old.

I'm off to read to her before she goes to bed. Cheers.
