'FISHING OVER FACTS'

We expect, and hold our presidents to, a higher level of wisdom and expected prudence. The Village Idiot isn't someone I would entrust to make my morning pancakes, as I'd be concerned he would allow a small fire to turn into a massive blaze that burns my house down and that of dozens of neighbors.

B*sh gives the appearance of a former drug user and alcoholic, and yet, he was placed (Al Gore received more votes nationally, and by all independent review, more in FL) into power by the US Supreme Court stating the recount was to end in Florida. The next 8 years of him in power were an absolute travesty that led to massive warfare, domestic suffering, and the torturing and murder of thousands. He made a fool out of us every damned place he went, and when his country appeared to need him most - he sat blank eyed holding a kid's book titled, "My Pet Goat". What a hero! Of course, he would say he didn't want to startle the kids, but moments later burned fear into their minds for life as he used them as a backdrop to announce terrorists had just attacked America. Yeah, the kids were being thought of all right...

We all known the box cutter wielding devils did the actual horrific actions on that day. But, when people who are hired to protect this country do their job, and the information makes it's way to the president as the most important thing that is needed to be shown at the start of the day - and he ignores it by saying, "All right. You've covered your ass, now.", then you know the moment when we truly needed our president the most - and he failed thousands of people who would die a month later, and thousands more who would die in his false wars. He could, no, he should have enacted an immediate review on FAA readiness and ordered new plans to protect America based on the information hard working American agents were providing to their superiors which made it to the president on that fateful day when he failed us at the time we needed him most...

In the photo from August 6, 2001, below, the man on the left is holding the President's Daily Brief, entitled that day, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US". Commander AWOL snipped, after he was read the brief, "All right. You've covered your ass, now!"

What a dreadful pResident this country had during a time in history when we needed a leader. So, what was so important that B*sh had to go do on that August 6th morning?

Fishing, of course.
