This "reform" movement has spawned all kinds of incestuous, $$$-based relationships between private$$, government officials and education bureaucracy.

The mind runs to Joel Klein in NYC , making a bee-line to Murdoch's News Corp upon stepping down as schools chief --- having just finished implementing 10 years of "reform" in NYC.

I can't believe these people are not breaking laws or at least violating ethics codes.

So... where are the prosecutions, grand juries, etc.? The fact that we got as far as getting a MSM outlet like USA today to even look into this is shocking.

20 years ago, I would have been "shocked" that anyone would be "shocked" that obvious malfeasance and potential criminality in the education system would be looked into seriously by the MSM.

Yet, I find myself shocked. Somewhat impressed also; but still shocked.
