...Given the sensibilities of the American public. Heck, look at Big Blue, Democratic California! Proposition 8 was passed in California, which bans gay marriage.

If we are going to decide whether President Obama is left or right of center, the relevant center is the United States. My take is that President Obama is trying to govern and move as left as he can in a Nation that rightly or wrongly sees him as too liberal.
