Come up with a defense for why he has backpedaled on promises; for why he didn't stand up for what he said he'd stand up for; and for what his strategy could possibly be in telegraphing what he'll give up even before he gets to the negotiating table. Those are the real complaints about this president who held out such hope. Not "wanting everything now."
After two and a half years of evidence, we don't think he's "got this."
