impact has been 1) RW radio, blasting hate and lies 24/7 day after day, year after year. Look at all the RW screamers: Rush, Savage, Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck just to name the most obvious. This type of drumbeat repitition works - just ask Josef Goebbels. 2) Fox TV. Imagine if the Democratic Party had one cable network all for itself, serving as the voice of the Democratic party 24/7 on TV. The effect of this cannot be overstated. The problem is I don't see how we can ever equal its effect. Left-slanted Radio has been a dismal failure, MSNBC is certainly not 100% Democratic, and not 24/7. We have been outmanuevered and outspent, and I'm damned if I know how we can ever level the playing field again.
