for quite some time now. My folks had it happen with ABC about a year ago out in the Portland, Oregon market, at least I was able to set up a digital antenna and converter box in the den so Mom could watch her college football.

It's a sign of the times, people are dropping expensive cable/satellite packages, or they're threatening to switch much more than they used to, it's put a squeeze on signal providers, and they can't raise rates like they used to. Maybe there will be some consolidations and some firms that flat go out of business before this whole thing shakes out.

Cutthroat competition among signal providers is a good thing for consumers in a healthy economy, but in a lousy one, there are simply throats getting cut.
