it was all over.

They could have consolidated their gains in Europe but then would have run out of resources or desire to "take over the world".

"The Germans were, at the end of the war, in the prototype stages of testing out a trans Atlantic bomber. Same with missile technology. And the invasion of the US may very well have come over our southern border, not across the Atlantic. Germany was, to some extent, successfully wooing Central and South American countries into its orbit. It could have very well have used Mexico as a staging area for a large invasion through the Southwest"

Ah, another unrealistic, doomsday "domino" theory.
