Sarah Palin booed on 'Dancing' set
September 28, 2010, 10:33 am by Christina Wilkie

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) appears to have received at least one 'Boo' from a Los Angeles studio audience on Monday when she arrived on the set of "Dancing with the Stars" to cheer for her daughter Bristol Palin.

This was Palin's first visit to the live dancing competition, and she entered the studio just as another competitor, "Dirty Dancing" actress Jennifer Gray, was receiving her scores, the highest of the night.

As co-host Brooke Burke stood with Gray and her dancing partner, a strong "Boo" could be heard coming from the adjoining set. "Why are they booing?" Gray asked.

Burke looked around. “There's booing in the ball room, we don't know why," she said.

According to numerous reports, Palin had just entered the studio set and was being microphoned for an interview, causing a handful of audience members to boo, although only one was heard on live national television.

Palin, wearing a hip-looking black leather motorcycle jacket and leather skirt and accompanied by her daughter Piper, ignored the boos.

Later in the program, Palin's daughter, Bristol Palin, 20, performed a quick-step with her partner Mark Ballas. The pair scored 22 out of 30 and are expected to advance to the next round.
