The right wing acts as if there was no history prior to 9/11.
What really depresses me, not only our rights being watered down, but these nuts on the right that want to remove various amendments to the constitution because it doesn't fit their agenda.
Sadly, if we actually championed and applied our constitutional rights and the laws contained within, the way they should, our country would be in much better shape. But alas, here we are.
The right wings motto is the antithesis of what FDR said about only fearing fear itself.
To paraphrase Ben Franklin, "when you give up a little liberty for a little safety, you get neither".
