19. I'm sad about the things they'll probably not experience
When I was their age, we snorkeled over coral reefs which are now devastated.

We caught (and ate) fish from Wisconsin rivers and lakes that are now contaminated.

We could afford a house and a new-ish car on one teacher's income.

Yep, it's depressing for me to contemplate my kids growing up in an age of global warming.

I just finished reading The Road, and I kept picturing my kids in that situation. Some days are like that. Yikes.
