I had a lot of friends who were Mormons and I remember days when a church elder would visit and go over the families tax forms and see exactly what they were making so they knew how much to expect from them in donations. I don't know if this is a church requirement or something local.

I do admire the way real Mormons band together and how families keep six months of food/water and a financial nestegg. They are one church that is loyal to its flock. But I thought that money thing was pretty invasive.
