The doom and gloom crowd don't want to hear this though.
In some perverse way, I get the impression that a lot of people are rooting for bad news. It almost feels like people want this to be as big a disaster as possible. I get the same feeling about people when it comes to the economy. Good news is bad, bad news is good.
Perhaps a part of many people want the worst because it is the only way they feel things might really change drastically for what they think would be the better?
