49. The job sites may suck, but I've found that you can gain better exposure if you
update your resume on each site once per week.
It seems that their formula allows stale-dated resumes to sink rapidly.
Upload a new resume once per week, but be sure to change 1-2 words so their systems doesn't recognize a duplicate upload.
Doing this will keep your resume fresh and near the top of the heap.

Also, try searching Indeed.com, which aggregates jobs from several of the other websites.
It's kind of like one stop shopping, but you're best searching no longer than 30 days back and using exclusions in your word searches (if your not in nursing, add -nursing -therapy etc).

Also, I agree with some of the earlier posters who mentioned that it pays to build a network on linkedin.com as it will give you access to peers and their peers in your area(s) of expertise.

Good luck, the republiclown 2nd great depression weights heavily but is not insurmountable.
