This fact was made public years ago when his family was asking questions regarding the "official" story of his death and their attempt at making these questions public. On Selective Fire M16s or M4s there is an option for sending 3 rounds downrange per 1 trigger squeeze. At approx. 10 yards they still maintain a "tight" (as in "close") grouping. 10 yards ain't jack....a mere 30 feet.
