This fact was made public years ago when his family was asking questions regarding the "official" story of his death and their attempt at making these questions public. It is a very, very touchy subject with The-Powers-That-Be, on the level with things like the MKULTRA, JFK's, RFK and MLK, etc. assasinations, Freeway Rick, 9-11 and many other shadowy beasts lurking just outside the circle of light. Best not go there.

On Selective Fire M16s or M4s there is an option for sending 3 rounds downrange per 1 trigger squeeze. At approx. 10 yards they still maintain a "tight" (as in "close") grouping. 10 yards ain't jack....a mere 30 feet.
