"driving is a privilege, not a right"?

If driving, the ability to get from on place to another in 99% of the country is not a right, then how can access to the latest high-end pharmaceuticals and surgery possibly be a right?

I do not see the difference. If you told the founding fathers that they did not have a right to travel the highways on horseback or stage coach, do you think they would have agreed with you?

The "driving is a privilege, not a right" line is one of the greatest pieces of propaganda ever. Everyone just accepts it automatically without thinking.
