My point is that it is abhorrent that there are 40 million abortions worldwide every year.

Yet that does not bother anyone here at all.

My other point is that people who use abortion as a contraceptive device turn my stomach.

Yet, you seem not to let it bother you at all.

It would seem to me that if pro-choice people were so damned interested in protecting lives they would see abortion for what it is, instead of pretending that those children who are aborted are just a conglomeration of cells.

You see, I talk to pro-life people all the time who are much, much more militant about this issue than I am.

They call pro-choice people "pro-abortion."

I have argued with them, telling them that they are wrong.

NOBODY, I say, is FOR abortions.

The pro-choicers are decent and honorable people.

Surely they find 40 million abortions per year abhorrent!

It's unfair to call them "pro-abortion!"

We have common ground here, I argue, let's work on this issue from there.

I guess I was wrong.
