How are the anorexic images of the fashion industry affecting

the self esteem and health of young girls today? Models weren't always this scarily thin, not even runway models. I remember when Twiggy was an aberration -- now she would be the norm. Why is this happening now? And what can parents do to combat this, as it spreads from the fashion industry to many of the stars on everyday TV shows?
