I was born in 1949 -- but I'm neither proud or ashamed of my generation. Some of the people in my age cohort are some of the coolest people ever. And some are total assholes. Just like in any group.

Since I'm not personally responsible for when I -- or anybody else in my generation -- was born, the notion that I would feel either pride or shame about it is absurd.
