I'm not going to necessarily criticize people for not acting in the woman's defense.

I remember the Freeps attacking the Va Tech faculty and students for not charging into the hallway to take down the psycho that shot up the campus a few years back. In reality most of the arm-chair Rambos probably would have been pissing themselves if they had been on site themselves.

Simply, people have different responses to extreme situations. Some completely freeze up, some run away and others maintain their composure and are able to act to difuse the situation.

I don't know I would act if someone started violently beating someone a few feet away from me so I'm not about to judge the bystanders in this situation w/out knowing more information.
